You may be wondering where the health care data used in this website comes from. The data comes from reports that each healthcare facility must submit to government and non-governmental agencies. This data is then analyzed and reported back in the form of complicated spreadsheets and large documents.
When we refer to government and non-governmental agencies we mean places like the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS) and the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ). As well as, other non-governmental agencies like the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). As our research expands, we will include data from other sources when appropriate.
At Patient Premier, we take that data and simplify it into knowledge that you can use simply and easily. When data is not available, we will try to let you know too. If there is something you would like to know, contact us! We take your feedback seriously.
